Couples Counselling
In couples counselling, a Cambridge Psychology Centre clinician listens to each member of the couple as they discuss their problem areas, as well as observing how they interact with each other. This helps the clinician identify and address the behaviours, patterns and interaction styles that are causing issues. We can then explore concerns related to trust and intimacy in order to help rebuild and strengthen relationships.
How Couples Counselling Works
The Cambridge Psychology Centre team of psychologists, psychological associates, and psychotherapists work to help couples overcome what is affecting their relationships. Any clinician that works in this area of counselling is trained to help couples develop healthier relationships and marriages. Once a clinician has listened to each member of the couple, they can work with the couple to come up with evidence-based solutions and strategies that will help them succeed together. We also provide treatment for couples experiencing issues related to front-line jobs, including veterans, active members of the military, healthcare workers, police officers, and correctional officers.
